1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse- Rough Idle?
Engine idles very rough, lopes. Black smoke coming from exhaust. Runs fine when you hit gas pedal and rev it up. Attached OBD III Actron Scanner, pulled foolowing codes: P0123 TPS Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit High Input,
P0122 TPS Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
P0118 Engine Coolant Temp Circuit High Input
Po113 IAT Sensor 1 Circuit High Input
P1478 Manufacturer Control Auxiliary Emissons
I replaced Throttle Position Sensor but problem didn't go away.
if it still has black smoke after you replaced the TPS then that means that your running rich and if the OBD is saying that the coolant temp is running at high input then that should be your next replacment there pretty cheap not more than $15 after that the aux emmisions control could just be an O2 sensor and after you replace CTS check all your vacuum lines if any are broken or any have come unplugged fix them and if you don't know where one is like if you have a port thats open but no hose then your best bet is just plug it use your imagination with what and that should get you a little further hope it helps
