a cop in a vehicle you mean? maybe, maybe not...most of them got smart, and don't keep their radars always-on, which means your radar detector can't detect it as fast as you'd like. the cop relies on first visually estimating speed, then he turns on his radar. which means you have to do the same - visually look for him and slow down, and by the time he turns on his radar (if he does), you'll know it.
your best bet is to have a car ahead of you (about 100 yards) going fast, so that the cop clocks the car in front, and your radar detector picks it up. Why is my computer making random alert sounds?
My computer is making random alert sounds (through the speakers), and I can't pinpoint the source, can anyone help me? One sounds like a radar, beeping every few seconds, and the other is that noise where a message or alert pops up. I have windows XP service pack 2 if that helps.
Seems like you posted your question in the wrong section. Sounds are produces according to Windows Sound Scheme. Go to Start-->Settings-->Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices Sounds tab Choose a Sound scheme --> No sound Apply and Ok. Windows will ask whether you want to save the scheme. Click No.
