Audi Trouble
Audi 1999 A6 trouble with the brakes?
well i recently bought a used 1999 a6 and the brakes were worn so i decided to change them .. i changed them out and bleed them TWICE an they still are soft .. literally i have to floor the brakes for it to stop. any advice on what else i should be looking at?
I would check the booster (the big round thing behind the reservoir where you add brake fluid). If the booster is good, then I would look to ensure you do not have any vacuum leaks and the booster is receiveing enough vacuum.
I have a 78 Camaro and my vacuum line to the booster had a T fitting going to the valve cover. My brakes were soft also. I removed the T fitting so the booster got more vacuum and my brakes are awesome now

2010 Audi A5 Sportback, Trouble with Peugeot-Citroen & ...
Audi Trouble, I need some advice?
i have an Audi A6 2005, 3.2. 2 weeks ago it would not start, the dealers thought the battery had to be replaced [the car has 62,000 miles on it]. Two days after putting in the new battery, the car was dead again. Dealers finally diagnosed that the access control starter module has to be replaced. Allegedly, this is part of the anti-theft device [which doesn't make any sense] and the extended warranty that I paid a lot of money for when I bought the car will not cover it. Is this a problem that happens frequently to these car? What recourse do I have? I feel that even if the warranty company doesn't pay, Audi should pay, as this could not be considered normal "wear and tear" and the car is not even 4 years old.
wow, you got a sucky dealership. yeah, there is a module that monitors the security features of your car that will disable the starter. It is NOT a common failure. I can believe it is not covered under an extended plan as most plans only cover the major driveline components and few electrical components BUT, most dealers I've done business with would gladly push back on audi of America for something like this for the reasons you outline. It doesn't cost the dealer a penny, they get their money from audi either way. I'd first try talking to the owner/manager of the dealership. IF he/she doesn't budge, look inside your owners manual for the AOA complaint phone number. ( 1-800-822-2834 )? If they still won't budge, call the dealer back and let him/her know you'll be looking for help from your states attorney generals office. (the bbb is really useless) that will normally get their attention. 
and if all else fails make the CALL to the AG's office ! You'll be amazed at what your tax dollars pay for. Your not the only person who's run into bad dealership and most states have the means to make them do the right thing (and actually enjoy doing it!) For a true audi enthusiast it pains me to hear stories like this though....
