Norton Security Error: Auto-Protect experienced an unexpectable error 0X000003EE.?
I came across an answer posted by SOLID GOLD for RUINER who xperienced the same problem.He said " try reconfiguring Auto-Protect turning it on".
It seems right. My Auto Protect has been turned off, but I'm not able to turn it on nor I'm able to re-configure it.Live Udate pops up every time i turn it on and nothing happens after the update.Once I evengot a msg saying" One more live Update is running silently but it's not visible. this may be due to cancelling live update sometime"
If anyone has the solution please Suggest how to turn on the Auto-protect in such cases.

How can I check to see if antivirus, firewall & auto updates are all working without security center for xp?
My security center disappeared so how do I look to see if all is working okay. I have McAfee antivirus, but can't open it, but when I talked to a Dell tech he told me not to worry that I can't open it & not to mess with it, that it's working fine. So I never need to do an antivirus scan on my computer?

Dell sucks. I have 2 XPS-410's and Dell never offers much help when you contact them. yes you do need to run virus scan's every now and then.open start-control panel-then see if security center is there. if not have you tried system restore to a date before this started?if not do so now.if this dont help remove McAfee from the add&remove tool. then reinstall it. this should start it working right again.you can download it from there web site if you dont have the disk. good luck,and you can email me if you need more help.
