Does anyone know if X Band radar is used in Illinois? If yes, what part?
There may be a few x bands out there - but the numbers are low.
X band radar was first generation, replaced by K and then an attempt to replace K with K-A band. For the most part K and KA are what is out there. The difference you may ask - the range or distance that each band can travel. X band on moving was short range, but comparable to K in stationary mode. There is very little difference between K and KA band - except in the cost. KA is more expensive
