It depends on the policies of the individual agency, but generally speaking, for an in-house death, it's 30 days. For attending an outside agency funeral, it's removed at the end of the day.

Sound decibels fall off exponentially as you move farther from the source, so the cheap seats aren't as loud as the front row.
My advice, take earplugs. They "clean-up" the sound by reducing reflections and reverb in the arena you're in.
