Baseball Speed Training

What are some baseball training and conditioning exercises that you know?
I'm trying to make my baseball team this year and I need some training/conditioning exercises that can help me get back into shape.
Also what are some pitching speed enhancement exercises that I can do to improve my pitch speed? If you have any methods for throwing a slider and change up those would be greatly appreciated.
Please help me make the team!
Pitchers come in all sizes and shapes. Some are very healthy, hard working players that barley make their squad. While others are just the opposite yet pitch very well. Here’s the secret to success as a pitcher…..Leg Strength!
Throw to keep your arm and body loose but work the legs. Running, squats, leg press, lunges.
You can test this theory by throwing from a standing, kneeling, and sitting position….The less you use your legs less power you have.
As for field throwing….do you throw off your back foot? Try a “crow hop” a few times it forces you to plant the back foot giving you power and accuracy. I promise you’ll see results!
Good luck. You’ll do fine.

Baseball Speed Training
Am I pitching/training for baseball too much? Details below---10 points?
I'm 19 years old and I'm 6'3-195. I just got into basbeall (pitching) in November and now I throw around 300 pitches (full speed) a week, and lift weights 3 days a week.
Is that too much? I started throwing around 150 pitches a week for the first month or so but for the last two months I have been throwing 300 pitches a week plus I just started lifting weights a little over a month ago. Am I doing too much, too little, or just enough?
My arm feels great, but I'm a little worried that maybe a few months from now it will all catch up. Also is it okay to do this routine for 365 days a year (like not throw every day, but keep up this routine all year long) Thanks in advance.
That amount is fine. Around 100 pitches a bullpen? 150? It's fine. If you condition yourself to throw that much (good aerobic base, throwing as many [if not more] pitches as you're required to do so in a game), it's fine.
Remember, pitching is a two-phase motor skill. The more you do it with proper feedback and the intent to improve, you'll keep improving.
It's okay to do it 365 days a year. Some like to take a month off, some two, but if you can, year around is fine.
The notion that the arm has so many pitches in it is completely idiotic. If you're doing things right, you should be able to pitch your 100+ pitch bullpens just fine.
And since you're conditioning yourself to pitching 100% intensity 100+ pitches, your risk of injury will go down (because you're not putting yourself at a defecit [ie. If you were to throw 50 pitches and try to throw 100 in a game].
One of the questions to ask is: How will the skill of throwing from the mound at a defined target at game intensity ever be trained unless it is done from the mound at game intensity for an extended number of pitches to produce specific overload or at least maintenance stimulation?
When you're pitching, are you doing it in blocked sessions? Are you videotaping to see what you need to correct and work on in the sessions?
What type of workouts are you doing? Are you lifting for general strength or for sport-specific strength? After 4-7 weeks, start focusing on sport-specific strength. Remember if you lift slow, you'll train your body to be slow.
