Battery Powered

What battery powered car can go the farthest on one charge? How far will it go on one charge?
What battery powered car can go the farthest on one charge? How far will it go on one charge? Somebody was making fun of John McCain (one of the Republican presidential candidates) for saying he thinks we can have an electric car (battery powered) that goes 100 miles on one charge by the election. Just from my imperfect memory, I though battery powered cars could already do that. Am I right, or was I fantasizing?
It doesn't matter how far it can go
.. .. ..
Everytime you recharge that battery the life of the battery run time decreases
.. . ..
Till one day you got to buy a $5,000 battery again
.. . ..
That is what you want to be considering on a battery powered car
.. . .. .
How long does a car starter battery last do you think
average is 5 years
And that is only to crank over the motor to start it
.. . .
You got to check into the life of a electric fork lift truck battery in a warehouse how long they last
2 years max
.. . ..

How do I switch out my electric smoke alarms for battery-powered ones?
We recently moved into a new house that has electric smoke alarms wired up into the ceiling. They are overly sensitive and go off even when I'm burning a candle (ruined a good nookie session with my husband!). I'd like to replace them with battery powered ones, but not sure how to disconnect the electric ones.
I can't figure out how to unplug them...the wires go clear into the ceiling, as if they were installed by the house builder...
Chances are that any smoke alarm will do the same thing. If the candles are the same ones you used elsewhere without this problem, it may be a matter of room size or location.
Hardwired alarms are much better as they are usually all on the same circuit. If there is a fire on the first floor not only will that one go off, but so will the upstairs alarms. I'll bet you already knew that though!. That is a very important safety feature that you won't have with battery only units. A safer solution would be to buy smokeless candles in my opinion. Sorry about your nookie session. Sometimes they can be hard to come by.

I used to wear a string of battery powered lights on my winter coat during the Christmas season. The lights ran along my arms and across my back. They used two C or D batteries. I had friends who would jokingly tell me that it was time to string the lights on the coat. They said I had to, it was a tradition, it was an important part of Christmas. haha.
