Belt Basket Weave Does anybody know where I can get a basket weave duty belt with all the accessories for cheap?
www.galls.com
They have a wide selection of duty gear. The galls brand stuff is cheap and of lower quality then other stuff. But it will hold up for the duration of your academy and probably a couple years after that.

How can a basket weave Sam Browne belt be polished ? Any DIY methods?
Is it the same method as polishing duty boots?
Hello Randy. I am "old fashioned" in that I prefer basket weave as being traditional. Both the Officers above me are correct, but I want to add one more item that seems to have been missed.
You will get scrapes and dings on the leather from time to time. Yes, you can work the shoe polish into it, but stop in at your local hardware ( or possibly discount store) and pick up a bottle of black leather dye. About once a year, I go over all my leather equipment with the dye first. Once it dries, I give it a good rub down and then use Kiwi Parade Gloss shoe polish and a horse hide brush damped with tap water. My leathers are well over 15 years old ( sometimes I actually have to replace something ) and they still look like brand new.
