Belt Basket Have any other London supermarket shoppers noticed?
I know this a very very a trivial issue, but being a longtime shopper in many a supermarket in London, and often having to wait in line to pay for the goods, I've noticed something peculiar: People who are white, whether they are English, Polish, etc, and darker-skinned shoppers who seem to have been born and raised here, ( i.e of Indian origin) put their groceries neatly organised in the conveyer's belt of a supermarket 's cashier . However those darker folks who clearly seem to have been born and raised abroad ( Africans , SriLankans, etc ), they take their groceries out of the basket and put them in the conveyer's belt any way it falls, not taking any trouble in putting the items down in a neat way ( what for anyway?!--- the cashier will take them all out one buy one....)
Has anyone alsop noticed that?
Yes I have. But it's probably because: There are in a hurry. They go to the supermarket with all their kids and of course it's difficult to mind the kids and put things down nicely. They have come from poorer countries where people are struggling for survival and don't give much thought to such things. And as you said, what's the use of putting down the items nicely if the cashier is going to take them out one buy one? might as well put them all piled up...

So I have been looking at the Pelican 7600, because they also come with leather basket-weave holster... but does anyone else have suggestions for a good light for the belt? It's gotta be rechargeable or at least NORMAL battery sizes... I can't afford those obscure surefire type batteries...
A lot of officers are buying up the pocket size Wal mart LED lights around here.
