when did army officers stop wearing the SAM Browne belt?
The Sam Browne belt was never officially approved by the US Army even though some troops did wear them in World War I. (General Pershing, the US Commander in Europe in WW I said they were OK but again, the Army never approved them. )
The Marines adopted them and they are still worn today by officers in dress uniform.
The biggest problem with them is they give an opponent something nice and firm to grab, front and rear when he comes at you in hand to hand combat. If they managed to pull one end loose, they could easily wrap it around your neck.

I feel for bad for John Cena?
Hi guys-
It's me again Sam, as you all know Randy and I got married September 21 and we spent a week on our honeymoon. He's back to work at No Mercy where he was slated to win the championship but John Cena botched his move yet again and now he has torn his shoulder. The backstage writers (ie) Stephanie McMahon wants HHH to hold the belt. What do you think about that?
First of all, I want to congratulate you and Randy, on your marriage. I think that Randy should get the belt and i'm not just saying this, because he's your husband. Iv'e thought this way, long before you two were married. Don't get me wrong, I like Triple H, but I feel that it's someone elses turn and Randy definitely fits the position, of being the WWE Champ. Too many people, get their way, due to who they are and who they're associated with and to me, that's not fair. I adore John Cena, he's the main reason that I watch Raw and I hate that he's going to be out for a while. I saw when he got hurt and I told my husband, it didn't look fake. Accident's happen and thing's don't always go as planned, as long as Randy knows, he didn't hurt John on purpose, he shouldn't blame himself and that alone, should give him a clear conscious. By the way, i'm a Missourian too.
