Is the beltronics bel vector 965 worth the extra $20 over the beltronics bel vector 955?
Either unit will work well. For $20 the 965 gives you a little more detection range.
I would spend the 10% extra for the 965, but realize that spending a lot of money on a radar detector will not help you. The only way to avoid tickets using a radar detector is to understand the environment in which radar guns and radar detectors operate. Hills, trees, low vehicle profiles and traffic are your best friends.

I'm considering buying a radar detector and a laser shifter/jammer. My question is, which is a better detector, the Beltronics Vector 955 or the Escort Passport 8500 x50? If the escort has a good difference in range/detection I would consider upgrading to it. Please help, thanks in advance.
