Blue Radar Please help me with my Escort x50 radar detector...?
Ok, I just got this thing. It is the blue one. One of my friends has the same exact radar and when he drives down the road his radar has the blue little dots scrolling across the screen...idk what you call it..you may call it like a mouse chasing effect or a scanner light effect..idk....HOPEFULLY someone knows what im talking about.. I was wondering how do you set that up to do that??? and are there any other neat lil tricks like that?? wow what a stupid response, not all cops use laser..plus if you were smart..radar detectors do pick up lasers too...i know if you get the laser alert..ur already screwed..but dont comment unless your answering question. ty.

While this feature doesn't improve radar detector it is a cool feature and a favorite of mine when I has the x50 though now i use the V1

Doppler Radar - How do you read?
I've been watching the doppler radar (Nat'l weather service) for my area for most of the day. (Base Reflectivity). I'm a bit confused because for the majority of the day it's been green and blue right where I am. According to the legend I think that means I should be seeing moderate precipitation outside? The problem is, it's just been windy with low clouds most of the day. very little precip. How am I reading this wrong? http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/radar.php?product=N0R&rid=MTX&loop=yes
From my experience with the use of Doppler radar in our area, the weak echoes represented by the blue color range rarely results in the precipitation reaching the surface. This is especially true in the mountain river valley region. So I would use the mid green range as the lowest color indicator for precipitation reaching the ground surface in your area.
