Board Side Opening
Can you open doorways to the spirit world by watching horror movies?
I know that Ouija boards, black mass, witchcraft, and seances open doors to the other side, but what about horror movies. I don't think it does, because if it did, then every movie theater in the world will be haunted including most residential homes and video stores. Anyway, just want to get some opinions out there.
Some spirits are parasitic. They feed on people's energy. An easy way to tap into human energy is when a human is afraid. If someone watches a horror movie and it really scares the bejibbers out of him, and he obsesses about it, then he may attract the kind of spirit that likes the fear energy he is giving off. A Catholic priest once told me he hates it every time one of these demon/exorcism movies comes out, because he gets a whole bunch of calls from people who are just sure they are possessed. If someone gets so caught up in a horror movie he forgets its just a movie, that can start to open a door.

A cardboard box manufacture wishes to make open boxes from 12 in. by 12 in. pieces of card board by cutting equal squares from each corner and turning up the side . what is the length of the side of the square cut out that would give the box largest posible volume?
The quantity to maximize is volume V=w*l*h, where w=width, l=length, and h=height. The constraints are w+2h=12 and l+2h=12. Solving these constraints for w and l yields w=l=12-2h, so the objective function V=h(12-2h)^2. Differntiating this objective function with respect to h yields the first order condition (h-2)(h-6)=0. The solution is h=2 inches, the length of the side of the square cut out.
