Questions About the New Springfield EMP 9mm?
I just Legally Purchased the New Springfield Armory 9mm Sub Compact Handgun for Concealed Carry Purposes.
My friends told me I was stupid, because a 9mm is weak
they told me I should buy a .40 cal or 357 magnum.
When I purchased this Firearm, I discovered that many people have reported problems with it jamming up when loading ammo.
This is a beautiful Firearm. It feels great, and shoots well.
I was wondering if anyone else had one if these pistols and wanted to know what they thought about them.
I travel through a rough Neighborhood and was robbed about a year ago. I was almost killed then and do not want to be a victom again.
One of my shooting buds bought the EMP. He took it home, cleaned it, then brought it to the range. He bought 500 rounds of 115gn 9mm FMJ and passed it around. Twenty some odd people tried that gun and everyone liked it with ZERO malfunctions.
The 9mm is a fair round. Realize tht you need to hit what you are aiming at and it could take between 0-15 seconds to stop an attacker with proper shot placement. It will take longer with less than optimum shot placement and they may survive the shooting all together regardless of caliber or weapon.
Don't think you are safe because you have a gun. If need be, move, or do not travel through a rough neighborhood. You get to make all these choices. You may or may not be held accountable for the choices you make.
