Where can I find an affordable ($30 to $50) digital display OBD1 code reader for a 1990 Chrylser New Yorker?
I'am tired of attempting to count the check engine flashes, they are not always accurate as its difficult to distinguish the pauses. I want a digital display that reads it out but don't want to spend a fortune with a universal reader. They used to make them years ago just for Chrysler cars, now I cant find them anywhere
i own a shop,and i know what you mean bout counting flashes,advance auto parts has a simple reader for around 30 bucks that works pretty well,they usually make it a lot easier to read,counting the flashes isn't any fun,but give advance a call,they have what your looking for,good luck with it hope this helps.

Can someone tell me how good (or bad) the MaxiScan VAG 405 2 in 1 Code Reader is?
or which diagnostic scanner would you recommend?
I use a U581 Scanner which reads and clears engine faults, Available from Amazon for about £60, much cheaper than taking car into Mercedes @ £110 per hr. Only reads or clears engine faults so any other faults have to be cleared by MB or MB independent using Star diagnostics.
