How do telephones enable real-time communication?
I have a question about how telephones work. I'm not so curious about how telephones transform the sound into electricity, but rather, how I'm curious as to how telephone signals are able to transfer so quickly such that two people from across the country can have a conversation in real time. How does this work?
Electronic signals travel at almost the speed of light, 186,000 miles (300,000 km) per second. Sometimes the signals are relayed by satellites 24,000 miles above the earth. That causes a round trip delay of about 1/3 of a second.

Is it okay to turn off McAfee Real time protection as long as i am not on the internet?
McAfee keeps conflicting with something that is installing, claiming it has viruses/trojans in parts of it, so therefore, it won't install. As long as i am not connected to the internet, can i turn of the real time protection of McAfee in order to install this without conflict?
It's not recomended you turn "Mcafee Real Time Protection" off.I run Mcafee but i never turn "Real Time Protection" off.If Mcafee claims something has a virus,you should go with Mcafee.You shouldn't install the program Mcafee claims is a virus.
