Case Black Duty
what is wrong with my call of duty 4 xbox 360 disc?
for the past year i have played call of duty 4 on my xbox 360 with the same disc with no problems whatsoever. now, for the past week, my xbox 360 sometimes doesn't recognize the disc. for example, when the call of duty 4 disc does work, the game will load and the screen will turn black, then the credits and logo appear, which tells me that the disc is working correctly. when the disc doesn't work, the game will load and screen turns black, the but the credits and logo don't appear and the xbox freezes, forcing me to restart it. is there a reason for this and can it be fixed?
also, on xbox live lately hasn't been working for cod4. when i go into xbox live for cod4, sometimes it will put me in a lobby all by myself and no one else joins the match at all. i have noticed that my internet connection lately hasn't been working well, so that may be the case.
is there an answer to either of these problems and can the problem be fixed?
You should also try an attempt to install the game on your hard drive. This worked with my GTA IV. My disc was scratched badly, it wouldn't even get past the loading screen, so I borrowed a copy and put that on my Hard Drive and then my scratched disc one now works.

Keeping in mind that it might have been banned for it having been modded, if you ever connected to the internet with it, you might have trouble selling it. There's still a market but obviously people like to have the option to play online with their games. If I were looking to buy a 360, I would probably buy an extra one if I wanted it modded.. since I figure they would detect it and get it banned anyway.
Try looking on 360 modding sites, see how much they sell for. Probably yours is in decent condition. You can always put up an offer on craigslist.com as well, and thats nice because it is free to put listings up.. plus they come to your house and look at whatever you're selling, then you can get the money right then if they want it.
