amplifier question?
my amp is 400 watts 2 ohms 1 channel if i bought an amp that was 600 watts 2 channels would that mean i was getting 600 watts per channel or 300 watts a channel and if its 300 a channel that would be good to hook it up to a sub that is 300 watts per voicecoil correct. what i want is a 500 watt rms sub pref the alpine type r and get 250 watts per voice coil. than amp would still just have one sound input to right like the sub preout of my alpine headunit so run a patch cord from that to my amp then wire each coil independently what should my gain be at and sheet. pretty much what amp will power an alpine type r sub the best with out getting hot or anything?
Will be hard to answer your question tell you tell me how many ohms your voice coils are and if your subs are DVC's also is the amp 1ohm stable? Amps wattage is always divided by the number of channels unless you bridge

hydroelectricity building / storage of power question?
I would like to build a small hydroelectric wheel that will make and hold electricity for when I would like it.
Can this be done with a rechargeable battery, like this?
: Have the wheel turn the coil around the magnet to make the electricity. Have the electricity hooked up to a rechargeable battery, to charge it. When I need the power, have another cord hooked into the rechargeable battery and use the power, at the same time as the hydroelectric wheel is making it?
If this wouldn't work, can you provide a solution for what I want to do?
I would like to store enough energy in a couple days to run a few small light bulbs, maybe a bit more if possible. (This isn't a big project but I would like to keep my hopes up)

what can i use in replace of the batteries. is there anything out there that will hold a good charge for me. (more than small batteries)
The easier way will be to have a solar panel charging batteries and use that stored power for lighting etc.
Unles you are near by a water falls or a river hydroelectric is hard to generate power without a hydro source
