Cord Direct How to connect Direct TV to the internet wirelessly?
i noticed there are 2 ethernet plugs, a sata plug, and a usb plug on the back of the box, and i was wondering how i can connect to the internet without running a long ethernet cord from my tv to my computer.
As long as you have a wirelss access point set up, then this sort of adapter should work. Just attach it to yor DVR ethernet port and you should be good to go.

I do have to add that I have not tried this with my Directv DVR, but I used to use it on a older TIVO.

Use direct cord for battery operated tools?
Use direct code for battery operated tools? I have battery operated (cordless) tools, can I use adapter and connect it directly with power outlet, instead of using a battery. I know they are build to be use as cordless but My batteries died and I don't want to spend money on buying new batteries.
You can as long as your power supply has enough current capacity to run the tool. My guess is that by the time you spend the money rigging up some power supply that converts 120AC in to 12 or 14 volt DC you will have spent enough money to buy 2 new batteries and a complete new drill kit. Any way you slice it you will be spending money. I recommend researching and buying the best battery you can get for the price. Wait for a sale.
Your charger will not act like a power supply for the drill. If you did manage to make a practical fitting adapter out of the charger you would burn up the charger in no time. The drill draws too much current for the charger to handle when it's running.
