Cuff Case Black
Anyone in California ever get a domestic violence charge dismissed?
I was in a situation with my wife, confrontation to be exact and she kick and hit me in the face, my reflex just hit her and it got her in the eye and gave her a black eye. She did not call the cops because we were calming down. I was really tense because the next morning I would enlist for the army so I take the car and drive around to cool down, I spot a police officer to ask for advise and he said he would have to go see my wife so I direct him to our house, I was then he just cuff me and booked me for domestic violence. He said her injuries were more severe than mine, I had a busted lip and she had a black eye. What are my chances with this case? I still want to enlist but with this its a hold up and could dq me if i go on probation or something. It has to clearly be dismissed. Anyone??
In the police academy, we were taught that domestic violence is soooooo seriouusssss. And it leads to murders and blah blah blah.
In California, domestic violence is taken very very seriously. You will have a restraining order put against you by the judge and you will not be able to see your wife for about 30 days. You might have to do jail time. It's a nightmare. Even if your wife doesn't want to prosecute, it doesn't matter.
It won't be dismissed. That's for damn certain.

I saw a crazy and common thing the other day. It seems to me that Blacks care more about police brutality ....
than justice. Case in point. On COPS the other night, a Black Guy in a Black Neighborhood was selling crack from a croner where children were playing. Cops came, he struggled, he got taken down hard. All of this was in front of many neighborhood residents. After he was cuffed, 30+ residents were irate at how the poor drug dealer was handled. They did not say thanks for stopping this guy from selling drugs in fron of our kids. They were almost rioting about the rough handling the drug dealer took? why? Heck, im white and if my son did that, I say take him down with enough rough force so he will remember it! Should they not be thankfull?

It depends. Were they related to him? Do they know him? Do they have a problem with the idea of "drugs" being sold? I grew up in a drug infested "hood". The neighborhood usually is split between two types of ppl, those into drug culture (selling or buying) & those who are not.
Those who participate in drug culture in any form, OF COURSE are going to be on the drug dealer's side.
I'm quite sure its the same in white drug infested neighborhood's too.
BTW I've witnessed a lot of crooked cops, taking bribes, making hookers give freebies, serving as ears for drug dealers at community/cops meetings. Not to say there aren't a lot good cops, but they're more bad ones than ppl would like to admit. & they don't "snitch" on each other neither.
