Detector Mount HELP! Where do I mount the sensor for depth detector?
I picked up an OLD "Humming Bird Super Sixty" depth detector at a rummage sale and I have NO Idea where to mount the sensor, And how the helll do you work this thing?
First off, It's a transducer for a depth finder. Transducers are usually either transom mounted to the bottom corner 2/3 of the way to either side. Make sure it is hanging down where half of it is sticking out below the botto of the boat and get it level. The other common place is on the bottom of the trolling motor. For more info email me

Where is the best place to mount your Car Radar Detector?
According to the directions for mine, they say the higher the better. Mine has a suction cup attachment that I use to mount it behind the mirror. I'm sure the dash is almost as good. I wish I would have gotten a Valentine One detector. They will tell you the direction the radar is coming from and also how many radar signals it is receiving. That is good if there are two cops with their radar on, say one down the road a 1/4 mile past the other one. It's a way to trap you.
