I already answered your laser post but I'll add more links on this post for you to check out. First off if you spend the money for a good radar detector they are not usless...You need to know that they are not cop detectors and only detect radar when a cop is operating it. Also when you detect an actuall laser shot from a police officer you are screwed Laser give you no advance warning so once it alerts hello ticket 99% of the time. You can by an active laser jammer like the Escort zr3 or Blinder M20 to combat laser but those are illegal in some states

I am looking at 2 different radar detectors, both priced equally. One is the Whistler XTR-190, the other a Cobra XRS 9330. I have been told that the Whistler has POP coverage where the Cobra doesn't.. but I don't know which one actually preforms better or if the POP even matters.
Which one actually preforms better and should be bought? (If it helps at all, I live in Southern California)
If you are considering Whistler, I would personally recommend either their latest models: Whistler Pro-78 or Whsitler XTR-690. They are stellar performers for the money.
