How do I direct wire electric fan in 88 Cavalier?
I recently bought an 88 Cavalier. The electric fan is not working in it. I have replaced the sensors and tested the fan motor. All work but fan is still not running. I have now decided to wire the fan to a switch inside the car. What is the best way to do this without burning anything up? BTW, if it makes a difference it isthe 4 cyl. motor.

Wouldn't it be far easier to just replace the bad switch instead?

You cant really direct wire, yes you can cut the loom right down but you will still need a battery or battery elliminator and the stop switch etc without the manual i could not tell you how much and what needs doing, but its not a simple points system where you could by pass nearly everything. If you dont want the key lock working you can just unscrew the top half ditch the barrel as long as the contacts are in the on posotion.
