Display Accessory
ThinkPad with black VGA display station, has two buttons (one to extend monitor).. what is it?
This ThinkPad is connected to this black accessory station and has the name "ThinkPad" on it. Not sure what it's called. It's just connected using a VGA cable to ?? I don't know what type of connector it's called either. What is this device called? It seems it's only used to extend the desktop from a laptop to a monitor. It's not letting me choose the external monitor as the primary screen for some reason. Please help!
There should be a key in the upper left row for switching back & forth with an external display.

Can you 'convert' a new TV to display 3d?
I've recently bought a new Sony Bravia TV. Although I'm certainly not ready to rush out, probably like most people, and get a new 3d tv, it might be cool if I could use the feature. Is/Will it be possible to get an accessory that plugs into my TV (possibly through the existing USB port) that can link to the new 3d active shutter glasses while a 3d source is being displayed on the screen? Personally I dont see why this sort of feature isnt being investigated as a huge revenue could be produced if people like me who have new TVs and want 3d could get accessories and not have to shell out for new tvs...
Yes and no. I've seen some developmental systems that used an external PC to do the signal processing and run the shutter glasses, however I haven't seen this used outside of a demonstration system. So, yes it can be done. No, it is not commercially available (that I know of).
