Durable Nylon
Saddle cover? Which do you prefer?
I'm getting a saddle cover for my english saddle.
Its a close contact saddle.
My current cover is a lycra one. The cloth kind. And its got like ten holes in it. I was just wondering if there were downfalls to nylon saddle covers. I've never had one but to me they seem more durable.
Which do you prefer? Nylon or cloth?

do to thier "plastic-yness" they promote mold and mildew growth on the saddle :/
i have on in red but it hasnt given me any problems yet. and they are great because they are water, bug, and dirt proof.
you should be fine just watch from time to time on any mold or mildew. Nylon is much more durable and will last you longer than lycra, another alternative it a thick fleece saddle cover wich are VERY nice and look quite elegant to (i spose those would be nice for shows)

Squeaky Clean
Nylon or leather desk chair, What is the better value?
I have been shopping around for a durable easy to clean desk chair. I ran across two good ones, same price, one is a 5 star techniflex apolstery nylon the other a leather..Why are these the same price. I was raised with the notion the leather was the better thing, I am missing something here. Should I invest in this techniflex 5 star nylon for its durability or whatever makes it cost the same as the leather chair.
Are they the exact same chair with different materials?
If not you can have a basic leather chair much cheaper than a top of the line nylon one.
In my experience leather is always better, unless you're using it in a hot climate with no air conditioning in which case you'd go the nylon.
