Emt Blue
Hey ... I'm an EMT...where can I get a blue light to put inside of my car?
I'm a new EMT at my volunteer fire dept. Unfortunately, all we got was a blue light license card and a list of websites, where we can purchase our own bluelight, because of budget cuts. But all the sites give the big blue lights that go on top of the car.
Does anyone know where you can get a blue light that you put inside the car on the dashboard above the radio? I just drive a very nice car and don't want a huge bulky blue light on top of my car. This is the image I"m referring too.

There are a lot of good places to get them, search police lights. But the kicker is, no one is required to pull over for them anyway (because you don't drive an official vehicle) and many won't. Thanks for helping us when we're in need though!

What are the Iowa laws on EMS vehicle lights?
I am currently in training to become an EMT. I was wondering what the Iowa laws are for emergency lights on a POV. Most of the other EMS/Fire vehicles i have seen only have a small blue light bar in the front window, but i was under the impression that you can have as many as you are willing to pay for, as long as you only run blue, white or amber lights. Am i right? I am specifically interested in IOWA laws on this subject since that is the state in which i am a resident. Thanks!
The State controls this. Once you price light kits, you will probably settle for the minimum amount.
