Is the Escort Passport 9500 radar detector worth it?
I am debating between two radar detectors.
The Esccort Passport 8500 x50

and the Escort Passport 9500ix

They are both good detectors but I want to know if the 9500 is worth the money. I can get the 8500 for $250 and the 9500 for $450. I have the money but im not sure if it is worth it to spend that much more money. The 9500 has built in GPS which is suppose to do some things if you read the website, but im not sure if there is any other big differences between the two. Also I would like to know if it is worth buying one used. Let me know. I also live in New Jersey if that would make any difference.

there is no difference between the 9500 and the 8500 other then the looks and the gps, the gps is cool if you spend the time to set hot spots when you pass by. the 9500 is also upgradable via pc so future hot spot upload's might be available soon. if you dont care about that stuff then save the 200 and get the 8500 of which is a great radar detector as well.
