What about the children? How is this little boy going to feel now?
Poor little Falcon Heene, the little boy who was supposedly swept up in a balloon blew the gaffe when the Police interviewed him after finding him hiding in his home by saying his Dad masterminded it for TV. The parents, Richard and Mayumi have received 90 and 20 days respectively for this elaborate hoax which went around the globe! But, now there are some small children who won't have their parents home for Christmas and the little guy will get the blame from his siblings, like it or not, that's human nature and aged six his reasoning won't be all that great will it? He won't lay the blame at their door - just at his own. What are your feelings on all of this?

sjdgls and cc, yes, that poor little boy will suffer because of his stupid greedy parents.
Kaffo - no, not at all, they never took into account the consequences of their actions - they're horrible people.
I think the wisdom of Solomon is needed here, it's a tough call, yes the parents need to be seen to be punished but ultimately there are small children involved. On one hand what does it say to their children if a crime that was based around using Falcon goes unpunished because they are his parents? It's would be a very mixed message. I think the most logical way through the mess would be to make the parents serve their sentences at different times so one of them will always be at home to support the children through it and keep emphasising to them that it isn't their fault at all but something mummy and daddy did wrong and have to pay the price for.

If you dont know the story,basically Micheal vick is quaterback of the pro football team,the Atlanta Falcons;and apparently Dog fighting has been going on at a house He owns,he doesnt live in it,just owns it,His cousins or some relative presently lives there.The Atlanta police&FBI I think are investigating him and the allledged dog fighting.
