Galco Off
SOB holster for usp tactical?
I am looking for a Small of Back (SOB) holster for a full size usp 45 tactical. I realize concealing this pistol is difficult but I can pull it off with an SOB holster. The problem with the USP-T is that the raised sights make holster shopping difficult. I do not wish to modify my sights. Any companies make such a holster? I have contacted Galco and they do not carry one that would fit. Will I have to get a custom leather one?
SOB looks good on paper. In practice ... the gun is right on your spine. That makes it impossible to sit in comfort... and if you fall- a gun in your spine like that can cripple you.
Not to mention... SOB is really harder to draw from that the normal 3-4 o clock position most holsters ride at.
I get a holster maker to build up a Inside the waistband or high riding belt holster for that pistol. Kydex may work also... if you can find a local Kydex maker he can mold a holster that works with the sights.
