Ear stretching: Can I start with a 12 gauge instead of a 14 gauge?
I am stretching my ears from a standard 20/18g to a 14g in my progression up to a 2g. I put in 14g tapers and had no resistance and only a slight sting in one ear for less than five seconds. I have a set of 12g tapers and when I tried to put one in it went all the way through my ear with just slight resistance and still no pain. Should I just start at a 12g? I have had my ears pierced at the standard size for 20 yrs(since I was a week old) so I think maybe my holes are larger than I thought from so many years of wearing earrings. I just keep thinking of all the blowout horror stories and don't want to push it too far too quickly.
You'll be fine. I started at a 14g, and skipped to a 10g, then to an 8 and so on, now I'm at a 2g. For now, you can get away with going to a 12g from a regular piercing. Just remember once you get up into bigger sizes (for me it was like 6g, and 4g to 2g) it'll start hurting more because your ears have to adjust to the change. It'll be important to wait once you get up there if you plan on it.
Don't worry, it'll be fine. Just use some kind of antibiotics ointment when you but them through to keep them clean, and make them go in easier.

Having water pressure problems please advise?
For about the past 4 months or so our water will just die out. The pump kicks on and water is back again. The flotec pressure tank is about 3 years old. I just put on new switch and pressure gauge on. Its set at 40-60. And 38 pounds in the tank. It goes up to about 62 and then shuts off like its suppose to, but after about 5 minutes the water dies, but the gauge is still reading about 55 pounds and then it has to drop all the way to 40 before the pump kicks back on and we have water again. It usually takes about 5-7 minutes. i've done numerous tests but nothing seems to work. please help if you have any ideas. thanks
Sounds like you may have sediment clogging the line that goes to the triggering manifold. Turn off the electricity to the pump, relieve the pressure in the lines by opening a faucet (and save a gallon or two in case you need to re-prime the pump), then take the cover off the electrical box on the side of the pump. You'll see a thin tube that runs from the pump head to a little diaphragm on the electrical box.
Using a wrench, unscrew it on both ends, and run some wire through it to thoroughly clean it out. Put it all back together, re-prime the pump if necessary, flip the power back on and you should be good to go. Sediment drawn up from the well settles in that little tube over time, and screws with the cutoff.
