Glock Firearms
Is it true that California will ban the sale of ALL semiautomatic firearms after 2010?
My friend at school told me that. Is that true? Am I gonna have to move to Oregon if I want Glock 21?
No, that can't happen because the supreme court ruled that the DC handgun ban is unconstitutional. They cannot ban handguns. If they tried to do it with rifles, it would probably be the same story. Semiautomatic rifles have TONS of appropriate civilian uses.

Can anyone name as many firearms companies as you can?
I've got Glock, SIG, Heckler & Koch, Browning, Smith & Wesson, Colt, Beretta, Gyurza, and Tokarev.
Barrets Rifles, Wilson Combat, Smith and Wessson, Bennelli, Navy Arms, Springfield Armory, CZ, Walther, Webbly, Winchester, Savage, Klanazankov, Kimber, Cobra (make Derringers), Bond Arms (also make Deringers) Cimeron, and the ones had already mentioned
Do some research. CA has some rather awkward laws regarding firearm possession and more importantly self defense. You will have to do some research by the looks of it to garner an understanding of what you can and can not do, as well as what you can legally own. Also, as was stated by another gunnitor in this thread, goto a local range. Rent some guns. Talk to fellow shooters there. Most shooters are good friendly people, and will not have a problem discussing firearms with folks who are new to the subject matter. Shoot until you find a firearm that you feel is something that is comfortable, and don’t listen to others who may “talk shit” about your choice of a firearm because when it comes down to it, *you* will be the one behind the trigger that matters. Also, I notice both of the guns you linked were revolvers. I am somewhat partial to revolvers (despite my obvious handle referencing glock firearms). Revolvers make nice pieces, but I encourage you to also shoot semis to see if you find something that might fit better for you. I also encourage you to continue asking away, not only here, but in the california gun forums. The most popular one from my understanding is If you need any further advice, I have a few gunnut buddies who live in california that I can hook you up with via the Intertubes who can assist you in any way you wish.
